What IP coating actually means
IP stands for ion plating, a process in which a thin layer of metal is bonded to the steel surface in a vacuum chamber. Compared to traditional electroplating, the coating is several times harder, more even and far more resistant to scratching and fading. It is the reason our gold and silver tones stay consistent instead of rubbing off at the edges after a few months, and it is the same finishing technology used for high-end watches.
Underneath that coating is surgical-grade stainless steel with no nickel release and no impurities. If conventional fashion jewelry leaves your skin irritated or discolored, steel is the answer: it is hypoallergenic, it does not tarnish, and it does not react with water, sweat or perfume.

How to care for stainless steel jewelry
Steel asks very little of you. Wipe your pieces with a soft, dry cloth after wearing, and clean them occasionally with lukewarm water, a drop of mild soap and a soft cloth. Store them separately so harder objects cannot scratch the coating. That is the entire routine. Unlike silver, steel does not need polishing pastes or tarnish strips, and unlike plated brass it will not turn your skin green.
